October 21 & 22 - Pocono Mountain Speedway- "King of the Mountain 100 Lapper"
The weekend began in impressive fashion as Eric took the Horwith Frieghtliner Rocket Ship around the track with the fastest time. Jason in a Modifieds for the first time at Pocono Mountain Speedway timed in the top 15. Eric drew the 6th restarting spot and that where the fun began. About 10 laps into the race Eric was making a pass on the outside in turn two and was spun around. Sending him to the pits several times for adjustments. During one of the trips into the pits there was a discreptancy whether or not the flag man waved Eric onto the track or not. He says no - Eric says Yes. Regardless, officials black flagged the 94 relegating Eric to the top of the trailer to watch Jason finish 7th in the long 100 lap race.
Eric has new magnets and trader cards that anyone can get by e-mailing us your mailing address to email@example.com or visit Eric at the team's hauler after the races at Pocono Mountain Speedway.
Saturday, October 13 & 14 - Sunoco Race of Champions - Oswego Speedway
THE JMC INVESTMENTS, SHIR RAY INN, HORWITH FREIGHTLINER, WYNN'S OIL-K-CEE DISTRIBUTING, BROWN DAUB NASCAR MODIFIED #12 and Northampton's, PA driver Eric Beers returned to Oswego Speedway for the 50th running of the Sunoco Race of Champions, NASCAR Modifieds racing most prestigious event. On August 5th Eric won a Race of Champions 50 Lap points race at Oswego Speedway. This weekend started out well with Eric finishing 2nd in his heat race and redrawing the lucky 7th starting position. From this point on the team and Eric worked very hard to keep things going well. On the first restart something went wrong with the clutch, putting Eric in a precarious situation with almost 40 Modifieds coming behind him. After getting himself out of the way, Eric got going and found himself in about 30th position. Now that that problem was over, Eric had a wobble in the tires made for an ill handling car. Eric held on and with several timely cautions the 12 car managed to stay on he lead lap. Several pit stops for tires got the car working better and Eric worked his way up for a hard fought 8th place finish.
Sunday, October 1- Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton PA - Run What Ya Brung
WOW ! DOMINATING! EXCITING!
Eric Beers finally picked up his lucky 13th win of the 2000 season. You would not have recognized the #94 K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Freightliner, Hoosier Tire NASCAR Modified. The team stripped off the body of the #94 and put a Sprint Car Wing on the roof and the car was a rocket ship. Eric easily won his heat and was followed in second by the # 9 of Jason Beers who did a tremendous job for his first time in a Modfiied. For the feature Eric started 4th and Jason lined up 5th. Within a few laps Eric was in the lead and from there the only thing that kept Eric from lapping the field were several cautions. On each restart Eric would pull out to a half a track lead and he never let up. Jason finished 11th, stayed out of trouble and left the fans at Mahoning Valley Speedway wondering if this talented driver has a bright future in the powerful Open Wheeled Modified Division. The team now gears up for the big Sunoco Race of Champions Weekend at Oswego Speedway where Eric has a spot in the big 200 Lap Race regardless of how he qualifies.

Following several cautions Eric had worked his way into the top position and barely held on at the end to celebrate in victory lane with the hard working crew, family and friends.
"My crew made all the right adjustments for the feature," said Beers. "The car was off after the heat but they did an awesome job. The last 10 laps I was just hanging on. The 80-car (McManus) was all over me and I have to thank him for running me clean and not turning me around. He's going to be good when he gets some more experience." "It's really a good feeling to get this many wins here. I want to thank my guys who just do a terrific job week in and week out."

When the feature time came Eric lined up in the 15th starting position. The first half of the race was uneventful as Eric missed an accident and had worked his way up to the 10th position. Just after halfway an 11 car pile up in turn three also collected the #94. Eric went into the pits and was able to make it out before the green flag flew. Unlike last week, when he came back to win after a major accident, the car was just a little off and Eric settled for a 14th place finish. The good news is Jason Beers finished 2nd in the Street Stock Feature keeping his 2nd place spot in the tight points race. As soon as the races were complete the Team loaded up the #12 Kocher Motorsports, JMC Investments, Shir Ray Inn Modified into the trailer and headed up to Wyoming County International for the Sunoco Race of Champions Modified Tour Event. ERIC WINS 11th FEATURE OF THE SEASON
Eric Beers and the Horwith Beers Racing team headed to Mahoning Valley Speedway, Saturday night August 19th and came home with Eric's 11th Asphalt Modified Feature win of the season. There was a great field of 27 Modifieds on hand. Eric Started 7th in the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Freightliner, Hoosier Tire NASCAR Modified #94 and finished a tough fifth. The action in the heat races and the B-Main was better than some of the features the team has attended this year. Eric was handicapped to start in the 14th starting position. There were several early caution periods with Eric moving up to the 11th spot when the big wreck in turn one occurred. Several of the cars running in the front got together and collecting cars throughout the field. Eric was one of them. He took a hard hit in the front and the back. Things did not look good at this point as the car was bent and would not start. After getting a push start and testing the steering Eric decided not to go into the pits. The restart had Eric in the 12th position. This is when the show really started. Eric used several moves to pass 2 and 3 cars cars at a time to work his way up to the second position where he and veteran Bill Teel put on a show for several laps until Eric was able to use the inside lane to get to the front and head to victory lane for the 11th time this 2000 season.
Jason Beers finished a tough 10th but put on a great show in the Enduro Race to finish in the top 10.
Saturday, August 12 - Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton PA

Eric Started 8th in the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Freightline, Hoosier Tire NASCAR Modified #94 and finished 2nd. Eric was handicapped to start in the 14th starting position. "It was like rush hour traffic at a toll booth, with everyone trying to get to the same booth!" Eric exclaimed after finishing 6th on this evening. Several cautions bunched the field up with the front runners all running side by side making passing difficult. "One or two more cautions or a couple long green flag racing would have given us a shot tonight because the car was fast", explained Eric. "We'll be back next week to give it another shot. Jason had a tough night finishing 18th after getting caught up in a racing accident. Keep an eye out for Jason as he is heading down the home stretch in his championship run.

Saturday, July 29th Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton PA
On Saturday Night, July 29th, The Beers Horwith Racing team went to Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton, PA, to compete in local Saturday night short track action. On this night Eric demonstrated what short track racing is all about. After winning his heat race, Eric started the feature in the 12th position. The first several laps had the top six rows of Modifieds racing side by side, nose to tail. After several early cautions Eric had made his way up to seventh. At this point he still had to wait to make his move as the racing in front of him was side by side. Finally, a hole opened up and Eric took the #94 to the outside groove and made his way up to the second position. This is when "sparks began to fly," Eric now had to battle with pole Sitter Glenn Correll. With double file restarts Eric and Glenn were side by side. A great, clean, exciting battle ensued; because of yellow flags either on the start or after one lap these two restarted 4 times. As they would enter into turn two the fans could see sparks flying from the rubbing as these two were holding their position. Finally, on a single file restart Eric used the inside groove to gain the position necessary to capture the lead and hold on.
Jason Beers ran a good, hard, clean race to finish 4th in the Street Stock Feature.
Saturday, July 22nd Flemington Speedway - Penn Jersey Modified Series
Saturday night, July 22nd it was to Flemington Speedway for the 50 Lap Penn Jersey Modified Series Race. A great turn out of 35 modifieds were on hand for the 30 car starting field. Adam finished 6th in his heat and was forced to run in the consi which he won in the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified #94. Eric finished 4th in his heat to qualify the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified # 9 for the feature. It was a decent night for the Beers Horwith Racing team with Eric starting 5th and finishing 6th and Adam starting 21st and working his way up to 9th. Eric was on his way to a better finish but had to contend with a right rear tire blistering.
Jason finished second in his Street Stock race at Mahoning Valley Speedway and was leading the Enduro when he need to pull in to pull off his bumper and proceeded to get an flat tire, ending any chance of an Enduro win.
Sunday, July 16th Nazareth Speedway -100 Lap NASCAR Modified Tour Race
K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified Driver Eric Beers time trialed 25th after having a right rear tire go out during warm ups. The team worked right until Eric Time Trialed 48th out of 48 cars. With the car literally being held together with tape and luck - Eric qualified 25th. The team continued to work right up to the start of the 100 lap Modified Feature on Sunday to get the car as good as possible. Eric was fine and was just waiting for the right opportunity to make his move as he had moved up to about 15th place. While making a pass in the last turn the car he just passed got into the back of the #36 sending both spining with Eric getting the worst of it and hiting the outside retainer wall. The team just barely lost a lap while pulling some sheet metal away from the left rear. Eric got out ont the track and held on to finish 20th with a car that did not have a straight piece on it. Kudos to the crew to even get the car back out on the track.
Saturday, July 8th Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton, PA.
This past Saturday night, July 8th, the Beers Motorsports team returned to the venue of the last victory which came on July 4th at Mahoning Valley Speedway. Eric, driving the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's, Brown Daub Dealer, Horwith Frieghtliner, Hoosier Tire NASCAR Modified #94, started 7th in his heat and finished third, relegating him to the 14th starting position for the 25 lap feature. On one of the restarts with about 10 laps in the books it went green and then yellow as it was no start - while cars in front of Eric were checking up the cars in back of him were not - two cars made hard lefts to avoid the cars ahead - hitting the front end of the #94 machine sending Eric to the pits for his first DNF of the 2000 season.
Jason Beers started 13th in his Street Stock Feature and finished third keeping him in a close battle for the points lead.
ERIC BEERS CAPS OFF HOLIDAY WEEKEND WITH A WIN !!
Saturday night, July 1st, at Pocono Mountain Speedway, NASCAR Modified Driver Eric Beers started the race in the 14th position. Playing the cards as they were dealt to him, Eric picked his spots to pass inside and outside. The biggest break of the race was the big lap nine crash, which seemed to happen in front of, next to, and behind the #94 car. Eric got through with a few bent pieces but nothing to affect the overall handling of the K-CEE Distributing, Wynns, Brown Daub, Hoosier Tire, Horwith Frieghtliner car. After a few laps Eric made his way up to second when the leader had to duck into the pits with a flat. This handed the lead over to Eric. They went green single file and Eric held on to pull into victory lane with Tim Santee, Ike Iddings and Chris Clemens, who had his best finish of the year, right behind him as Beers had to slow for lapped traffic in front of him. After victory lane ceremonies, in a post race inspection the same #94 Modified that was legal the week before was found to be slightly over the maximum left side weight making Tim Santee of Palmerton, PA the winner.
On Tuesday night, July 4th, at Mahoning Valley Speedway, Eric started 7th in his heat race for the 50 lap Penn Jersey Modified Tour. Eric Beers and Eric Kocher put on a show for the fans as Eric and Eric were side by side with Beers on the outside trying to pass Kocher. After the heat race checkered flag flew, both cars pulled into victory lane as they waited for the official word. Kocher had won by inches. With a thumbs up to Kocher, Eric was on his way to the pits to get ready for the most difficult part of the night - redrawing for position. Eric is getting better. At Flemington, Eric picked 16th. On this night he did one better. To begin the race, the action up front was hot and heavy with Steve Whitt and Bill Teel battling for the lead. A caution around lap 9 bunched the field up in turn 3 with Eric getting through the melee in the 8th position. By lap 20 Eric worked the outside groove for several laps to grab the race lead. Several cautions slowed the event but the race ended with Eric battling Flemington Speedway hot shoe Steve Whitt, who had to work his way from the rear after spinning while going for the lead early in the race. Eric pulled into victory lane with Fireworks exploding in the background. A perfect setting to end an exciting weekend. Eric now has 8 feature wins for the 2000 season at three different race tracks.
It was almost a Beers sweep at Mahoning Valley Speedway on Tuesday night as Jason Beers finished second in the Street Stock Feature coming from the 14th starting position

On Lap 4 Brown Daub, K-CEE Distributing, Horwith Frieghtliner driver Eric Beers, who started 11th made an inside move to go three wide and pick up the 4th spot. The race was slowed by caution on lap 6 when Mike Hosier was involved in an incident where his #1 Modified Mount actually landed on the front of the Jerry Hildebrand machine. Miraculously both were able to continue without losing a lap. When the race restarted it took Eric Beers and Russ Frantz 3 laps to move into the one and two positions. Beers and Frantz endured a couple more cautions for minor incidents complicating the road to victory. Beers pulled in for his 6th feature win at Pocono Mountain Speedway with Russ Frantz, Ike Iddings, Barry Baran, Mike Adams and last week's feature winner John Markovic in his rear view mirror. Adam finished in the 11th position.
Jason Beers had another good night at Mahoning Valley Speedway finishing the Street Stock Feature in third.
FRIDAY, JUNE 16th LEE SPEEDWAY (Lee, NH) - SATURDAY, JUNE 17th POCONO MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY
Eric and the team headed to New Hampshire for a special 100 lap Open Modified Show. Eric timed fourth fastest and redrew 6th. From there Eric was in the top ten most of the night until getting hit in the left rear, got loose and did a remarkable job of getting the car to go straiten out without loosing a spot. That put a little extra wear on the tires and he had to fight the car to bring home a tenth place finish.
The team loaded up and headed to Pocono Mountain Speedway for the Saturday night races. There was a field of 25 Modifieds - so you had to qaulify in the top five to not run a consi. Eric finished his heat in fourth and started the race in 14th. The K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's Oil, Brown Daub, Hoosier Tire, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR #94 was a rocketship. Darting inside and outside waiting to make the right move Eric was up to second place by lap 20. From there Eric and the leader John Markovic #95 put a show on for the full grandstands. Eric tried for ten laps to set John up for the right move but John held his line and Eric had to work extra hard on the outside to finish a bumper out of first place. Great racing by two veterans who raced together at many different places like Evergreen. Pocono Mountain, Mahoning Valley, Flemington, New Smyrna, Nazareth and Tioga to name a few.
Jason had a good night in the Mahoning Valley Speedway Street Stock Feature and finished 3rd.
THANKS TO ALL THE FANS AND FRIENDS WHO SUPPORTED THE BEERS MOTORSPORTS FOOD DRIVE.
SATURDAY, JUNE 10th LANCASTER SPEEDWAY (Lancaster, NY) -
Eric started the night out great. He was constantly clocked as the second fastest car on the track in practice. Eric started his heat in 8th and finished in a qualifying position even with a right front going flat. Eric started the race in 13th position and was up to 8th when on the 8th lap of the 61 lap feature the 3rd and 4th place cars tangled and spun out in front of the entire field. Eric stopped to avoid the mess in front of him but not everybody behind him did and the back of the car got smushed. The team did great work to patch up the car and Eric did a great job to bring the #12 home in 10th.
Adam was in the #9 Modified at Pocono Mountain Speedway on Saturday night and after a heat race incident started the feature in 20th. By half way Adam was running in the 8th position when a tire went down and he spun in turn two quickly ending a great run.
Jason started the Street Stock Feature in 12th and finished 9th on a night when they had to water the track down twice because of the heat and humidity. If you tried to pass on the outside you quickly went backwards.

Eric held off the young gun, DeFebo, Tim Santee, Steve Mooney, John Markovic and Jim Hauser Jr. It was nice to see Eric racing again with Flemington Speedway Modified competitor, Bruce Driver. Bruce is now driving full time on the NASCAR FEATHERLITE MODIFIED TOUR for Dale Earnhardt. Adam was set to take the K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's Oil, Brown Daub, Hoosier Tire, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified #9 out for the feature when fellow competitor Chuck Schartzer had mechanical problems. GREAT NIGHT FOR BEERS HORWITH RACING TEAM MODIFIED DRIVERS ERIC BEERS AND ADAM HORWITH
Although K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's Oil, Brown Daub, Hoosier Tire, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified Driver Eric Beers had his three race winning streak stopped tonight at Pocono Mountain Speedway it was a great night for the Beers Horwith Racing Team. Eric started out the night not so good. As he was about to go out onto the track for his heat race, all the air come out of one of his tires. This caused him to miss any heat racing. Adam Horwith made up for Eric's misfortune by finishing a strong second in his heat race. Adam brought the field to the green flag and led the first 3 laps. With several cautions during the race Adam only fell back as far as 4th and finished the race in that position. Adam looks to be moving closer to getting that elusive first career victory. Eric was handicapped to start in the 12th position. On the green flag lap there was a caution - Eric gained two spots, now up to 10th, first lap - one more - up to 9th, 2nd lap - now in 8th, lap 4 - up to 6th, lap 5 - up to 5th, lap 13 - up to 2nd. Eric was on the bumper of the leader for the next 17 laps with several cautions slowing down the action. The K-CEE Distributing, Wynn's Oil, Brown Daub, Hoosier Tire, Horwith Frieghtliner NASCAR Modified Team of Eric Beers and Adam Horwith are happy with their 2nd and 4th place finishes and are looking forward to the 61 lap Sunoco Modified Tour, Richie Evans memorial race next Saturday, 6:05 P.M. at Tioga Speedway.

SATURDAY, MAY 6 FLEMINGTON SPEEDWAY
TOUGH FOUGHT 5th PLACE Saturday might Eric took the Wynn's Oil, K-C Distributing, Brown Daub, Horwith Freightliner #9 Modified to Flemington Speedway for Opening night and also the second leg of the Penn Jersey Modified Series. There was a field of over 50 Modifieds at the track. Eric won the forth heat race. When it came time to draw for position Eric picked 16th, teammate Adam Horwith driving the #94 Wynn's Oil, K-C Distributing, Brown Daub, Horwith Freightliner Modified drew the outside pole. Eric had made his way up to 12th when on the backstretch a car got loose in front of him, as Eric checked up, the car behind him hit the rear bumper, spinning Eric and causing a 14 car pileup. Eric drove the car into the pits under his own power and the team worked to fix the bent up left front. The team did a great job getting Eric back out without losing a lap. The race restarted, but Eric was running near the rear because he could not see out of his windshield with power steering fluid coming up. A well-timed caution came out and Eric ducked back into the pits giving the team another shot to fix the car. Eric came back out and worked his way back to the front, finishing fifth. Adam Horwith was in the top five throughout the race when a lapped car got in the way allowing Eric to get by. ERIC WINS Wynn's Oil, K-C Distributing, Brown Daub, Horwith Freightliner NASCAR Modified driver Eric Beers of Northampton, PA captured his second Modified Feature win of the season at the 1/3rd mile Pocono Mountain Speedway. Beers who started in the 10th position after finishing second in his heat race, slipped between Gary Wentz and C.J. Jones with two laps to go to hold onto the victory. Gary Wentz driving the #62 led from the green flag to lap 28 until Beers slipped through. For about 20 laps Wentz, Jones and Beers were in front, Jones and Beers swapped inside and outside positions as each were trying to find the groove to get in position to go for the lead. With two laps to go C.J. Jones had the inside position on Beers and was taking his shot at the lead when he and Wentz just barely touched and as they were collecting their cars, Beers took advantage of a hole that was open only for a millisecond to slip by.

ERIC FINISHES THIRD Russ Frantz of Coplay, PA made up for his opening night second place finish by holding off Gary Wentz, Eric Beers, Chuck Schartzer and C.J. Jones for the win. Mike Adams brought the field to the green flag until Ike Iddings quickly moved into to the lead for a couple of laps until the young tiger Brian DeFebo passed him. DeFebo looked like he had the car to beat until he was involved in an accident in turn two. By lap 16 Frantz who started in the 9th staring position moved into the lead. Beers, Schartzer and Markovic who started 14th, 13th and 12th respectively, worked their way into contention behind Frantz and Wentz and these five sliced and diced with each other. With four to go Markovic spun going into one setting up a dash to the finish. Frantz did a great job holding off Gary Wentz who made every move in his book of tricks but could not get by the veteran while having to worry about week one feature winner Wynn's Oil, K-C Distributing, Brown Daub, Horwith Freightliner driver Eric Beers behind him.

ERIC WINS The fans saw a familiar face in victory lane. Eric Beers, from Northampton, PA, driving the Wynn's Oil, K-C Distributing, Brown Daub, Horwith Freightliner #94 held off Russ Frantz and drove his car into the Fairway Chevrolet Victory Circle. The race began with Gary Wentz on the pole and holding that position for the first 9 laps. Following the next caution, Chuck Schartzer made the move of the race and went from fifth to second in one lap and then took over the top spot. The next lap saw three wide racing between Schartzer, Wentz and Beers going into turn three, someone had to give. Beers let up and went back to fifth place. Schartzer now had the lead and looked tough to beat, however on the next lap, he had a tire going down and Wentz had to hit the brakes to avoid a slower car in the leaders way. This opened the door for Eric Beers in the #94. With Russ Frantz on his bumper Beers held off the veteran, John Markovic, C.J. Jones and Chuck Schartzer.
