Eric's involvement in racing...

...came as a natural progression of events. Eric's father, Dale Beers, has since the early 1960's had several drivers racing the cars he prepared. When Eric turned 16, he raced a Late Model car at Dorney Park Speedway, Allentown PA. From his earliest recollections until today, Eric has spent his share of time, working on race cars the family has owned. In 1985, at the age of 16, Eric began racing late in the season with 1986 marking his first full season. He exhibited such extraordinary natural talent and charisma that many friends and local businessmen in the Lehigh Valley began to sponsor his racing efforts. His core fan following increased every year.
